Ina Trawick Fowler, age 91 of Donalsonville, GA passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026 at her daughter’s house in Chipley, FL.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Wingershan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Fowler was born December 19th, 1934 the oldest of four children to Denver Denmark Trawick and Ollie Godby Trawick. Ina grew up in Iron City, GA and graduated from Seminole County High School in 1953. She attended Georgia Southwestern in Americus,GA and graduated with a two year degree.

Ina met William (Bill) Fowler and fell in love~ His speedy boat on Lake Seminole didn’t hurt the courtship! They married at First Baptist Church soon after and became an instant stepmother to the beautiful Donna Parker (Terry). Ina and Bill went on to have their own two girls, Joan and Jan Fowler. They raised their family serving their church in numerous roles through the years.

Mrs. Fowler also worked for Georgia Pacific for 30 years. She was an asset to her job with her skills in organization. She was very good at her job and was greatly depended on by those she worked for.

Of all the things she loved most, it was her vegetable and flower garden!

She would rather be outside with her daylilies and wildflowers than anywhere else, unless it was eating Uncle John Emory’s fried catfish with family around! Those times were very special in her life.

Ina and Bill were married 57 years. After Bill passed, Mrs. Fowler busied herself by giving of her time and talents to the Bereavement Committee at First Baptist as long as she was able.

Mrs. Fowler leaves to cherish her memory: Joan Fowler Smith (Timothy) Jan Fowler Simmons (Gregory), Donna Parker Terry (Mike), her grandchildren: Joshua LaTourette (Taylor), Bob Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Jessica Bus, Jacqueline Bus, Michael Terry (Laura), David Terry (Katie), her Great Grandchildren: Cody LaTourette and Emme Terry, her loving sister, Gail Sullivan of Smith’s Station AL, her brother Dee Trawick and precious wife Ann, of Iron City GA, wonderful and numerous nieces and nephews, good friends and her church family.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and her brother John Emory Trawick and sister-in-law Dorthy Ann Trawick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St Jude’s Children hospital or First Baptist Church Donalsonville, GA. This would be appreciated by the family.
