JAMES CLIFTON BELL

James Clifton Bell, age 77, of Iron City, GA passed away Monday morning, August 28, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Glenn Lee officiating.  Interment will follow in Olive Grove (Rock Pond) Cemetery in Iron City, GA with military honors.

Mr. Bell was born in Birmingham, AL on August 6, 1946, to James Thomas and Carolyn Saunders Bell.  He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Bear Island Paper Co. where he worked as a multi mechanic/machinist. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, James T. Bell, Susan D. Griggs, James C. Bell II, and Chad Custalow; his grandchildren, Chris Morris, James Bell Jr., Grace Bell, Dylan Dixon, Stephanie Dixon, and Jessica Dixon; as well as 8 great grandchildren.  His sister, Susan E. Ramp also survives, as well as several nephews and nieces, and many close friends who are considered family. 

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Carolyn Saunders Bell and his brother, Vaughan T. Bell.
