JAMES THOMAS HARTZOG

James Thomas Hartzog, age 67, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Hartzog will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL.  Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 16, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Hartzog was born in Donalsonville, GA, on October 31, 1957, to Grady and Gertrude Hartzog.  He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing and anything farm related.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, James Hartzog and his wife Christina of Enterprise, AL; his daughter, Deanna Tomlinson and her husband Richard of Donalsonville, GA; his sister, Betty Hudson and her husband Tommy of Killarney, GA; as well as his grandchildren, Latricia Peterson, Jonathan Rentz, Whitney Brown and husband  Cameron; and his great grandchild, Carsen Brown.  Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews also survive.  

Mr. Hartzog was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Gertrude Hartzog; his sister, Mary Mathis; and two nephews, Lil' James Hudson and Patrick Hudson.
