November 10, 1942 — August 25, 2023

Janice Frasier Durden, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday morning, August 25, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Janice will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Gary Walker and Rev. Michael Wingertsahn officiating. The services will conclude in the church due to extreme heat; however, interment will be in the church cemetery with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Durden was born in Seminole County, GA on Nov. 10, 1942, to Almon Glenn "Sam" Frasier and Aileen "Shug" Lane Frasier.  She was a graduate of Seminole County High School and administrator for Durden Knife and Saw, Inc., a company she and her husband, the late Larry Durden, owned and operated.  Mrs. Jan was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville.

Jan was a lover of all things involving her grandkids.  She loved gardening and going to Mexico Beach, FL.  Her favorite things were to eat at Jo's Family Restaurant and shopping with a passion.  As she got older, anything involving the grandkids was where she wanted to be.  She loved her church family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Hugh Durden and his wife Jeanne; her grandchildren, Amber Boyett and Tyler, Emily Grantham and Eliott, Hudson Durden and Hannah, Landon Durden and Ashley, Shane Champion and Charlie, Cameron Durden and Eden, Brannon Durden, Ashlyn Durden, and Weston Durden; and her great grandchildren, Ellie Kate, Gatlin, Kole, and Addison; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Durden Williams and Richard and Debra Durden; as well as several nephews and nieces.  Also surviving are adopted family members, Jimmy Jones and Jeremiah and all the employees of Durden Knife and Saw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Shug Frasier; her husband, Larry Durden; her sister-in-law, Donna Ramthun; and two brothers-in-law, Leon Durden and Dale Ramthun.
