JEANETTE GLASS MOATES

Hazel Jeanette Glass Moates, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Donalsonville Hospital.  

Funeral services for Mrs. Moates will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Michael Middleton, Trace Stovall, Guy Stovall, Nate Lisenby, Dakota Chambliss, and Randy Womble, serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moates was born in Donalsonville, GA on Nov. 28, 1945, to Frank and Hazel White Glass.  She was a high school graduate and was most recently employed by Walgreens as a cashier/customer service clerk.  Mrs. Jeanette raised four fine children and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren who called her "Nana".  She loved all children and caring for them, especially the nursery and preschool children of Iron City Baptist Church, who affectionately referred to her as "NetNet". 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Don Jarvis of Donalsonville, GA, Christopher Moates and Kaley of Colquitt, GA, and Kristy Chambliss and Kyle of Marianna, FL; her grandchildren, Gabe Worsley and Rayleigh Moates; as well as three stepgrandchildren.

Mrs. Moates was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hazel Glass; the fathers of her children, Donald Ray Jarvis, Sr. and Roy Moates; and a daughter, Tonya Worsley.
