JEANETTE STORY GLASS

Jeanette Story Glass, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Glass will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Gary Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Cameron Durden, Hugh Durden, Stephen Houston, William McLendon, Dan Jones, and Richard Williams serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 concerns, masks will be required and social distancing practiced. Mrs. Glass was born in Donalsonville, GA on October 13, 1938 to Pat and Gladys Mae Hughes Story. She graduated from Seminole County High School where she was a star basketball player. She was a devoted surgical nurse in the cardiology and neurology departments of Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL for 50 years before retiring in 1998. Mrs. Glass was a member of the Lakeland Women's softball league as well as an active member of Sonrise Cathedral Church of God in Lakeland, FL. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tera Glass of Lakeland, FL; her grandchildren, Taylor Jones of Ft. Belvoir, VA, Madison Jones of Donalsonville, GA, and Griffin Harrell of Lakeland, FL; a great granddaughter, Mia Jones of Ft. Belvoir, VA; as well as numerous loving cousins. Mrs. Glass was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Gladys Mae Hughes Story; her husband, Wilba Earnest Glass; and her daughter, Kim Ramthun.
