JERRY WAYNE MILLER

December 26, 1944 — October 10, 2021

Jerry Wayne Miller, age 76, of Coolidge, GA passed away Sunday morning, October 10, 2021 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Jimmy Walden and Vic Stuart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Mr. Miller was born in Bainbridge, GA on Dec. 26, 1944 to Vernice Hilton Miller and Myrtice Marie Branch Miller. He served his country in the United States Army and was a roofer for many years. Mr. Miller managed the hunts for Three Rivers Plantation before his retirement. He was a “jack of all trades”, master fisherman and hunter, and an avid lover of music. Mr. Miller was a loving husband, Daddy, Poppa, and brother. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Becky Miller of Coolidge, GA; his father-in-law, Jessie Jones of Coolidge, GA; his children, Jennifer Roney and husband Shaun of Donalsonville, GA, Tabitha Smith and husband Rocky of Bainbridge, GA, Sally Ann Murkerson of Colquitt, GA, Candace Wells and husband Charles of Colquitt, GA, Shelley Macbeth and husband Warren of Salt Springs, FL, Gregory Middleton of Donalsonville, GA, and Phillip Middleton of Ocala, FL; his brother, Grady Miller and wife Debra of Brinson, GA and June Funderburk of LaGrange, GA; ten grandchildren, Austin Roney, Nikki Roney, Robert Jones, Christopher Jones, Katie Cloud, Lacey Cloud, Haley Murkerson, Miranda Rudd, Steven Luther, and Jessica Martinez; and six great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Vernice Hilton Miller and Myrtice Marie Branch Miller Cowart; his step-father, Lewis Garrett Cowart; a brother, Freddy Allen Miller; and his mother-in-law, Hazel Jones.
