JoAnn Williams

JoAnn Ward Williams, age 99, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday evening, December 13, 2025, at her residence.

A graveside service for Mrs. Williams will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn and Mark Chapman officiating.

Mrs. Williams was born in Jakin, GA on August 30, 1926, to James B. Ward and Annice Richardson Ward. Mrs. Williams was a beautician and owned her own shop. She could do anything she wanted to. She enjoyed arts, crafts, being a seamstress, cooking, crossword puzzles, gardening and playing scrabble. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Dianne Williams Houston of Jakin, GA; her son Jack Carlton Williams, Jr. and his wife Donna of Donalsonville, GA; her grandsons, Myles Mosely and his wife Adriel of Jakin, GA and Jack Lane Williams of Bainbridge, GA; her great granddaughter, Anna Myles Mosely of Jakin, GA; and her sister, Mary E. Hooks of Donalsonville, GA.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jack Carlton Williams, Sr.; her parents, James B. Ward and Annice Richardson Ward; her brothers, James B. Ward, Jr. and Archie Sam Ward; her sister, Glenda Nordman; and her son-in-law, Jerry Houston.
