JOHN McDONALD

John McDonald, age 75, of Blakely, GA, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.

Funeral services for Mr. McDonald will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. The services will conclude in the chapel and a private burial will be held at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 16, 1950, to Blackshear and Waver Stinson McDonald. He was a high school graduate and worked until his retirement with Donalsonville Motor Company as the Parts Manager. Mr. McDonald served his country in the United States Army for two years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Jackie McDonald; his nieces, Mindy McDonald Cash and husband Terry, Cindy Shiver Harris and husband Larry, Karen Thomas, Cathy Shiver Daniel and husband Tom; his great nieces, Mallorie Johnson, Emma Harris, Sara Harris, Emily Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Ashley Daniel, and Megan Daniel; his great nephew, Christopher Thomas; as well as his great great nephew, Trace Daniel.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Blackshear and Waver Stinson McDonald; a sister, Dorothy McDonald Shiver; two brothers, Ralph McDonald and Jimmy McDonald; and a niece, Virginia Lynn McDonald Johnson.
