Joseph “JoJo” Kyle Sheffield, age 18, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Gainesville, GA.
Services for Joseph will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Castor and Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Jakin Cemetery with Tommy Sheffield, Kevin Brady (Jesus Man), Aaron Anderson, Mitchell Sheffield, Neal Sheffield, and Steven Faircloth serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial Trust for Joseph Kyle Sheffield "JoJo", PO Box 105, Donalsonville, GA 39845.
Joseph was born on August 6, 2005, in Donalsonville, GA to Tommy Sheffield and Stacey Graves. He attended Seminole County High School and had just completed the 11th grade. Joseph had served the past two years on the SCHS Yearbook Staff, and truly loved being a part of this group. He enjoyed music and laughter. “JoJo” played the guitar and had a love for his family and friends. He was a free spirited and fun-loving person. He loved to joke around and be with his siblings. “JoJo” was easy to talk to and always had to keep everyone laughing, he left a mark on everyone who knew him. He was a remarkable person with a vibrant spirit and zest for life.
“JoJo” may no longer walk among us, but his spirit lives in the memories he created and the love he shared with all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Tommy Sheffield and Sarah; his mother, Stacey Gibbs and Spence; his siblings, Tommy Sheffield, Kayla Sheffield, Hanna West, Laura West, and Brianna Sheffield; his best friend, Tara Nantz; and his fur baby, Oscar. Also surviving are numerous grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Joseph was preceded in death by grandfather, Micheal Sheffield; his grandmother, Sarah Nash; his great grandfathers, Claude Pritchett, Bruce Woodin, Hayes McMillan, Alton Nash, and Clifford Anderson; his uncles, Greggry Graves and Geno Bolduc; and his great aunts, Jennifer Porche and Virginia Robinson.
