JOYCE ANN McGEE SMITH

Joyce Ann McGee Smith, age 63, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Sunday evening, June 9, 2024, at her residence.

No services are being planned at this time.

Mrs. Smith was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, on August 29, 1960, to Donald Lloyd McGee and Joan Marie Doyel McGee.  She was a high school graduate and a homemaker.  She enjoyed camping and fishing.  She was “MeMe” to her grandchildren, and her family was her life.   Family and friends will tell you that she was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend that anyone could ever find.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jeff Smith of Donalsonville, GA; her children, Thomas Wayne Smith and Leann of LaGrange, GA, Rebecca Dianne Smith and Rebe of LaGrange, GA, Chairity Faith Yaughn and Josh of LaGrange, GA, Jefferson Shane Smith of Donalsonville, GA, and Jeffery Ellis Liles Smith of Plano, TX; her sisters, Laura Eileen Jones and Alan of Donalsonville, GA and Richelle Herring and Shane of Donalsonville, GA; her brothers, Ricky McGee and Gwen of Jakin, GA, Phillip McGee and Cindy of Rolla, Missouri, and Steven McGee and Connie of Donalsonville, GA; as well as a brother-in-law, Stacy Chambers of Collville, WA.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Lloyd McGee and Joan Marie Doyel McGee; her sister, Suzanne Chambers; her grandparents, Leo and Alma Doyel; and her aunt, Joyce Doyel.
