JUANITA KELLY HAGLER

Juanita Kelly Hagler, age 96, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 16, 2023, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hagler will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Michael Hagler, Greg Hutcheson, Cody Houston, Brandon Keaton, Steven Keaton, and Shawn Teal serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hagler was born in Midland City, AL on May 7, 1927, to George Harvey Kelly and Evie Lee Lewis Kelly.  She worked in the Dietary Department of Donalsonville Hospital until her retirement.  Mrs. Hagler loved to garden and cook with tarts and thin layer chocolate cakes were her specialties.  Spending time with her family was very important to her. She was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Shirley Keaton and husband Steve of Albany, GA, and Billy “Pat” Hagler and wife Debbi of Woodstock, GA; her sister, Betty Arnold and husband Jack of Mobile, AL; a daughter-in-law, Edna Hagler of Donalsonville, GA; and her grandchildren, Ramona Houston and husband Steve, Sandy Hutcheson and husband Greg, Michael Hagler and wife Jennifer, Angie Teal and husband Shawn, Steven Keaton and Sydney Plummer, Brandon Keaton and wife Beverly, and Hanna Hagler.  Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Terri Money, Cody Houston and wife Jessica, Dr, Kelli Money and husband Tim, Matthew Houston and wife JiYoung, Lily Chaney and husband Austin, Bonnie Jean Houston, Walker Hagler II, Ashely Brown, Caroline Teal, Keaton Teal, Brooks Keaton, and Baker Keaton; great great grandchildren Ashlynn Houston, Levi Brown, and Elliot Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hagler was preceded in death by her parents, George Harvey Kelly and Evie Lee Lewis Kelly; her husband, Coley Walker Hagler; her siblings, Jewel Wheeler, Irene Tyler, Hazel Whittaker, Ladon Kelly, J.W. Kelly, Lamar Kelly, and Bobby Kelly; and her son Lajoy Hagler.
