Kim Anderson Stone, age 67, of Jakin, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, after a brief illness at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.
Kim was born in Jesup, GA, on June 8, 1959, to Melvin and Lois Anderson.
Kim was an individual with a "witty and wicked" sense of humor. After graduating high school, she became interested in photography, and what started out as a hobby became her passion. To those who knew her best, Kim was much more than a photographer, she was "a story teller," whether behind the lens of a camera or with pen in hand, she captured our emotions.
Kim was probably most known for her wedding photography, ranking her as the #1 photographer for the Forgotten Coast, as well as being the author of the children's book series, "Cody Cowboy".
She was a very skilled woodworker, having rebuilt her home, for the most part by herself, after Hurricane Michael came through her area of the country.
Kim loved bass fishing and beautiful sunsets, she believed they went hand in hand. She loved her parents with all of her heart and her grandchildren with a passion like none other. She was of the Baptist faith.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Melvin and Lois Anderson; her children, Jody Tipton (Chris) and Jake Parker (Marianne); her grandchildren, Jay Crisp and fiancee Abby Sims, Jessie Crisp and fiance Naysean Dudley, Cohen Tipton, Madi Parker, Luke Parker, and Cole Stevens and Amber; as well as her great grandchildren, Morgan and Cade Stevens. Also surviving are her sister, Lynn Phillips (Toby); niece, Leigh Green and fiance Shane; and great nephew, Davis Green.
Memorial services are pending at this time.
