Larry Gene King, Sr.

Mr. Larry King, Sr., age 80, of Donalsonville, Ga. passed away Tuesday evening, September 20, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on September 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bell officiating. The family will hold a visitation at the family residence immediately following the service. The address is 3238 Old Jakin Rd. Donalsonville, Ga. Mr. King was born in Donalsonville, GA on Oct. 15, 1941, to Vester Lee King and Ella Elizabeth Philmon King. He was a graduate of Seminole County High School and retired from Georgia Pacific after 27 years. Mr. King loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Relda King of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Larry King, Jr. and wife Angela of Colquitt, GA, Denease Harrison and husband Ken of Bainbridge, GA, and Kenny King and wife Gina of Donalsonville, GA; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Wanda Mann of Donalsonville, GA and Squirt the Cat. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Vester Lee King and Ella Elizabeth Philmon King; his brother, Billy King; and BoBo the Dog. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to Agape Hospice, Louise Reynolds, and Sherry Delk for the compassionate and loving care they have given to Mr. King.
