Larry Eugene Tyler, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, March 23, 2023 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.


Funeral services for Mr. Tyler will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Scott Messer and Rev. Eric Boomer officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Justin Stroud, Jamie Smith, Darren Franklin, Christopher Whittaker, Eddie Hill, and Bruce Phillips serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church.


Mr. Tyler was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 23, 1946, to Price and Myrtice Irene Kelly Tyler.  He was a graduate of Moore Haven High School, Moore Haven, FL and served his country in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Tyler retired from the Seminole County Board of Education where he served for many years as the Maintenance Director.  He was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, and he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. The one sport that Larry truly loved and followed was Braves baseball, he was an avid Braves fan.


He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Delores Tyler of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Lori Banks and husband Heath of Hendersonville, TN and Adam Tyler and wife Andrea of Collinsville, OK; his grandchildren, Macy Banks, Addison Banks, Caden Tyler, Corben Tyler, Bristol Tyler, and Brinley Tyler; as well as his sisters, Patricia Stroud and husband Richard of Wray, GA and Janice Mackanick and husband Al of Okeechobee, FL.


Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his parents, Price and Irene Tyler; his sister, Sue Scott; and two grandsons, Clayton Tyler and Deacon Tyler.
