LINDA REYNOLDS BRIDGES

Linda Ann Reynolds Bridges, age 78, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday evening, November 21, 2023.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bridges will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Nate Lehman officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Jordan Bridges, Reese Bridges, Cooper Bridges, Cutler Bridges, Mike Brooks, and Barry Reynolds serving as active casketbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bridges was born on May 24, 1945, in Donalsonville, GA to the Arthur and Louise Barrett Reynolds.  She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1963, where she later returned and taught for 40 years.  Mrs. Bridges received her Bachelor of Education Degree from Troy State University and then continued her education and obtained her Masters Degree in Education from Valdosta State University.  In 1968, Linda married Carlton Sapp Bridges and they spent 55 years together building a life in Donalsonville.  She enjoyed playing basketball throughout her high school years. Linda loved teaching 6th grade science, she was an avid bird watcher and always had music playing (she loved the oldies).  Cooking, drawing, teaching ceramics, and sewing were some of her favorite activities. Linda loved her family and spending time with them.  She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church.  

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Carlton Bridges; her three sons, Sloan Bridges, Gant Bridges and his wife Jackie, and Garrett Bridges and his wife Brandi; her grandchildren, Cutler, Carrigan, Jordan, Reese, and Cooper Bridges and Blain Lewis; as well as three great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Anita Tucker and several nephews and nieces.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Louise Barrett Reynolds, as well as her brothers, Tommy, Arthur Jr., and Johnny Reynolds.
