Lorraine Lindemann McMillen was truly wonderful in every definition of the word. The definition of wonderful is "
inspiring delight, pleasure, or admiration; extremely good; marvelous." She was a wonderful wife of fifty-four years to her soulmate Robert. She was a wonderful mother to her daughters Mary (Will) of Augusta, Georgia and Dorann (Byron) Cobb of Colquitt, Georgia. She was a wonderful Grandmother to Benjamin Ethan Lewis, Vera Lynn Cobb, Luke Archer Black, Hanna Jane Cobb, and Magnolia Grace Black. Lorraine was a wonderful sister to Louise (Mike) Slezak and Bonnie (Dennis) McKevitt.
Lorraine's love of God shined with everything that she did in her life. She enjoyed taking care of others and especially her students that she worked with throughout her twenty years of teaching. She had an exceptional heart for those with special needs. She was especially proud of former student, Allie Kate Canup. Her positive attitude was a product of her trust in God. Lorraine was always caring about others, particularly her Bob. Lorraine loved life and appreciated all those around her until the end. We want to thank Shayla Smallwood, Nancy Gillson, Annie Henderson, Mary Powell, and Georgia Hospice for their Godly care. She took great pleasure in feeding those around her with healthy choices and cookies. And she went out of her way to remember important dates and events for family and friends' and loved to send encouraging notes and cards. She always started Christmas shopping 11 months before so she could find the most heartfelt gifts!
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Anne and Byrant Lindemann and her brother in law Dennis McKevitt. Lorraine always remembered and loved her three children that did not make it to term and awaited her in heaven.
