Mrs. Lydia Vazquez, age 86, of Donalsonville, GA passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Lydia was born June 18, 1936, in New York City, the youngest child of Rev. Herminio and Mercedes (Vasquez) Quiroga. She was a longtime Campbell, Ohio resident, a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and a longtime member of First Spanish Baptist Church, where she was very active with youth and music ministries. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Lydia was united in marriage with Rafael Vazquez on June 18, 1955 at First Spanish Baptist Church, a faith-filled, strong and loving union that lasted more than 67 years. Together they raised their family in Campbell, later retiring to Orlando FL, Morovis PR and Donalsonville GA, where she was a member of Iron City Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Benjamin (Maryellen) and Yvette; sister, Priscilla Jenkins; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her “Tia”, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Mimi, Carmen and Junior.
Memorial services to honor Mrs. Lydia's life will be held at Iron City Baptist Church on Friday May 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM.

Lydia nació el 18 de junio de 1936 en la ciudad de Nueva York, la hija menor del
reverendo Herminio y Mercedes (Vásquez) Quiroga. Fue residente de Campbell, Ohio durante mucho tiempo,
se graduó de Campbell Memorial High School y fue miembro durante mucho tiempo

la Iglesia Bautista Iron City el viernes 19 de mayo de 2023 a las 10:00 a.m.
