MARLIS EUGENE "BO" PHILLIPS

Marlis Eugene "Bo" Phillips, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday morning, October 29, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Doug Phillips, Shannon Phillips, Jeff Sherrer, Tye Sherrer, George McCray, and Todd Edwards serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 2:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends at 51 Joe Shingler Road Colquitt, GA 39837.

Bo was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 19, 1950, to Mixon and Lorene Phillips Phillips.  He was a fabrication welder with LMC for 50 years before retiring.  Mr. Phillips enjoyed fishing and scraping, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family.  Of course, spending time with family usually involves cooking and eating and he did love to eat.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jane Phillips and Cassie Phillips and Rodney; his brother, Curtis Phillips and his nephew, Kevin Curtis Phillips. Also surviving are two uncles, Larry Phillips and Linda and Albert Phillips and Mollie, as well as two aunts, Louise Chambliss and Ella McCusker; along with several nieces and nephews.  

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, Mixon and Lorene Phillips; two brothers, David Earl Phillips and James Phillips; and a nephew, Christopher Dewayne Phillips.
