MARTHA BRACKIN VARNER

Martha Brackin Varner, age 82, of Fort Myers, FL passed from this life on April 17, 2018, in Lehigh Acres, Florida. She was born in Donalsonville, GA to Hubbard and Perry Lee Brackin on February 15, 1936. She attended elementary and secondary school in Donalsonville and after graduating high school, attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. For most of her adult life Martha worked in secretarial and office work. She retired from the Lee County Transit System in 1997 after 20 years of service. Martha is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Bender (Matt) of Lehigh Acres, FL and Angela Varner of Lawrenceville, GA, and two grandchildren, Devlin Lewis of Lehigh Acres, FL and Maggie Towns of Lawrenceville, GA. She is also survived by her older brother Frederick Brackin and his wife Joyce of Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
