Nellie Roland Lane

Mrs. Nellie Roland Lane, age 97, of Iron City, GA, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lane will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Walden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lane was born in Colquitt, GA on Sept. 25, 1928, to J.T. Roland and Edna Cato Roland. She was a high school graduate and member of Iron City Baptist Church. Mrs. Lane enjoyed gardening and canning, and she truly loved to go fishing; however, her best time spent was being with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Donna Reynolds and her son, Huey Carlton Lane, Jr. and his wife Jan; as well as her grandchildren, Barry Reynolds and wife Shona, Mac Davis and wife Dana, Stephen Lane, Michael Reynolds and wife Shannan, Leslie Carter and husband Ryan, Christopher Lane, and Laura Sublett and husband Trey. Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. Roland and Edna Cato Roland; her husband, Huey C. “Jack” Lane; her daughter, Jackie Davis; her brothers, J.E. Roland and Jerry Roland; her sister, Jewel Roland Chambers; and her grandson, Huey C. Lane, III.
