Paul Walter Blizzard

September 20, 1947 — July 23, 2025

Donalsonville

Paul Walter Blizzard walked into heaven's gates on July 23, 2025 at 3:45pm and entered his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Growing up he spent many days on Horse Creek with his friends and family. He graduated high school and attended trade school in Americus, Georgia. This is where he received his mechanic degree, as well as meeting the love of his life. He was an active hunter and fisherman most of his life. He was drafted and fought in the Vietnam war. Being a veteran was something he was extremely proud of. Paul worked as a conductor at the CIRR where he retired in 2005. He was a member of Lake Seminole Baptist Church and loved his church family very much. In his later years his favorite activity was spoiling his grandkids and great grandkids. He said often they were his reason for living.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Blizzard; his daughter Heather Meadows and son in law, Roy Lee Meadows; his grandson Sawyer Meadows (Madison Meadows); his granddaughters Lilly Spotts (Andrew Spotts) and Abigail Long (Hunter Long), and the prides of his life, Alex Spotts, Westlyn Grace Long, Dustin Meadows, Tinley Marie Long, and Maisie Meadows, as well as many other family members that he loved dearly.

He proceeded in life by his parents, Daniel and Minnie Blizzard, his son Jeremy "Bug "Blizzard as well as several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Lake Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. Spencer Fussell and Rev. Rusty Bradley officiating.
