Peter Ralph Wall

Peter Ralph Wall, age 75, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Sunday morning, May 31, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Wall was born in Newnan, GA on July 25, 1951, to Ralph Wall and Mary King Wall. Against his desire, he faithfully served four years in Vietnam in service to our country when he was drafted where he was wounded in service and spent the remainder of his life inside and out of VA hospitals. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Sharpshooter-Rifle. 

His lifelong passion was fishing. He fished all over the country and enjoyed taking his son and daughter along with him for deep sea fishing adventures. He eventually owned his own boat, a shrimping boat. He captained the Mary Ruth II for several years, even being at the right place at the right time to help map and clean up the BP oil spill which netted him enough money to settle down and rest. Though he did not, he purchased a piece of land, around 30 acres, and planted an orchard of fruit trees where he and his faithful companion Mullet (the dog) spent several of the happiest years of his life feeding his fish in his pond, playing fetch, and eating juicy plums from his trees.

His favorite thing to do as he began to age was to search for property on Facebook Marketplace and as he stumbled upon dishonest realtors to waste as much of their time as possible. Often having them pick him up from his home and shuffle him to places, even gas stations to pick up a coke.

Peter Wall was an honest man. It can't be recalled having heard him lie one time the 40 years I knew him as his son.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Mary Pope of Donalsonville, GA, Tyler Wall (Heidi) of Dawsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Jordyn Pope, Carter Pope, and Elliott Wall.

Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Wall and Mary King Wall; his son, Pete Wall; and his siblings.
