Richard Edward Squires, Sr.

Richard Edward Squires Sr.,70, of Jakin, Georgia passed away August 7, 2018 at his home in Port St. Joe, Florida. He was born in Columbus, GA to the late Herman Edward and Jessie Merle Squires before moving to Jakin, GA. Mr. Squires was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, the National Rifle Association and retired from Raytheon Marine Electronics as a regional sales manager. Mr. Squires was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing all of his life, especially with his children and grandchildren. His love of the outdoors was only superseded by the love of his children and grandchildren that will all miss him dearly. Richard is predeceased by one son Brian Edward Squires. He is survived by a son Richard Edward Squires Jr. and wife Molly; a daughter Jessica Squires Rish and husband Jay; four grandchildren Ella Grace Squires, Ellen Abagail Squires, Robert Maxwell Rish and Thomas Edward Rish; three sisters Tracy Squires Standridge, Jayne Squires and Gail Murchison Funeral services will be conducted  2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA. with Pastor Calvin Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
