RITA WONELL LEWIS COX

Rita Wonell Lewis Cox, age 68, of Iron City, GA passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 16, 2021 at her residence. The family will hold a private service. Mrs. Cox was born in Cairo, GA on October 6, 1952 to Clayton and Elizabeth Nix Lewis. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She instilled in her children a strong work ethic. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Terry Cox of Iron City, GA; her sons, Tony Alday and wife Rebecca of Donalsonville, GA and Randy Alday of Iron City, GA; her grandchildren, J.C. Alday, Tiffany Alday, Chasity Gordon (Jared), Casey Alday, Kayla Whitehead, Callie Alday, Chandler Alday, and Allie Grace Alday; as well as numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Elizabeth Nix Lewis; her brother, Tom Lewis; two sisters, Audrey Bryant and Sissy Lewis; and a son, Johnny Alday.
