ROBERT "CLAY" ROLAND

Robert “Clay” Roland, age 60, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in North Platte, Nebraska. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Friday evening, June 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Roland was born in Valdosta, GA on July 8, 1961 to Ferrell Wayne Roland and Nellie Mae Barnes Roland. He was a graduate of Decatur County High School Class of 1979. Clay was a familiar face to the area farmers, having worked at SunSouth since 2007 as a parts manager. He loved dirt track racing and spending time with his family. Clay and Donna loved to “road trip” and had visited all of the 48 contiguous states. Clay leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Donna Roland; his children, Brandi Stinnett (Chad DeFranco), Amanda Applewhite (Kevin), Kandice Holton (Eric), Charles “Buddy” Roland, Jared Lovering (Lauren Slapey), Heather Harrell (Beau), and Jonas Lovering (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Anna and Emily Stinnett, Stevie Applewhite, Maddie Holton, Brycen, Teghyn, and Paxtyn Curles, and Brianna Lovering. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferrell Wayne Roland and Nellie Mae Barnes Roland, as well as his brother, Mark Roland.
