RORY "ROOSTER" CALHOUN HORNSBY

Rory "Rooster" Calhoun Hornsby, age 62, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday evening, August 15, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Hornsby will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Scarborough Cemetery in Miller County with Dustin O'Hearn, Dylan O'Hearn, Ronnie Miller, Scotty Pitts, Patrick O'Hearn, and Jason O'Hearn serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 9:30 AM at the funeral home.

Mr. Hornsby was born in Dothan, AL on August 10, 1964, to Royce Cepheus Hornsby, Sr. and Katie Lee Toliver Hornsby.  He was self-employed in construction and was a "jack of all trades".  Mr. Hornsby had a big heart, full of love for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Teresa O'Hearn Hornsby of Donalsonville, GA; his siblings, Ina (Micheal) Joiner of Colquitt, GA, Kitty (Rusty) Adams of Donalsonville, GA, Royce (Tammy) Hornsby of Bainbridge, GA, Debra Sweeny of Texas, and Robert Humphrey of Bainbridge, GA; his children, Christan (Lance) Robinson, Latisha (Shane) Amos, and Hunter (Katie) Hornsby; as well as his grandchildren, Nathen Amos, Alyssa Amos, Dalton Amos, Ty Robinson, and baby girl Rosie Kate coming in September; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hornsby was preceded in death by his father, Royce C. Hornsby, Sr.; his mother, Katie Lee Norris; his granny, Grace Hornsby; his sisters, Jerry McGee, Deloris Church, and Barbara Burleson; and his brother, Calvin Humphrey.
