Samuel Herbert Golden

Samuel Herbert Golden, age 91, of Iron City, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Newbery officiating.

Mr. Golden was born in Dothan, AL on August 26, 1934, to David Columbuc Golden and Gertrude Kirkland Golden. He retired from Georgia Pacific after 29 years working as a mechanic.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Phillip Golden of Brinson, GA, Chris Golden of Donalsonville, GA and Teresa Cook (Jamie) of Bainbridge, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Golden was preceded in death by his parents, David Columbuc Golden and Gertrude Kirkland Golden; his wife, Elaine Hill Golden; his brother, Don Golden; and his granddaughter, Chelsea Cook Patridge.
