Sherman Miller, age 90, of Iron City, GA, passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2026, at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev.Tony Mock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 23, 1936, to Willie Manuel Miller and Ollie Cecil Harlow Miller. He served his country in the United States Air Force and owned and operated a TV repair business for a number of years. His heart was in agriculture and he farmed for a number of years before retiring. Mr. Miller enjoyed hunting and feeding the deer; however, he most enjoyed taking care of his three special animals that were his babies; his dog, Pudgie and his two cats, Mollie and BoBo.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Ricky Miller and grandson, David Miller and wife Kaitlyn; as well as two great grandsons. Also surviving are his sister, Eloise Ingram; his special friend who was always by his side, Jedd Tillery; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Manuel Miller and Ollie Cecil Harlow Miller; his wife Mae Dyches Miller; a son, Michael Miller; his daughters, Renae Harrell and Sandra Kaye Scott; his brother, D.H. Miller; and two sisters, Faye York and Cheryl Roland.
