Shirley Helen Hall

Shirley Helen Atwell Hall, age 80, of Bascom, FL passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

A graveside service will be held for Ms. Hall on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM EST (2:00 PM  CST) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL. 

Ms. Hall was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 12, 1942, to Thomas and Creamer Culverhouse Atwell.  She retired after 30 years as a seamstress for Donnie Mills Sewing Factory in Donalsonville, GA.  Ms. Hall loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking her grandsons fishing.  She was a very hardworker and spent a good bit of time planting flowers and working in her yards.  Ms. Hall was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sylvia Lynn Hicks and Malisa Dale Hernandez; her grandchildren, Dylan Cameron Layton, Hunter Ridge Layton, Tristin Stefon Hager, Whitney Chesnut Wilson, and Skylar Dale Hager; her great-grandchildren, Adelynn Lafaye Wilson and Aiden Matthew Wilson; her sisters, Betty Cross and Linda Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Hall was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Creamer Cloverhouse Atwell; her husband, Ladell Marson Hicks; and her son, Teddy Bruce Atwell.
