Shirley McMillan Parker, age 78, of Ozark, AL and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2025, at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM EST at Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Rathel and Dr. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Jeremy Rathel, Bobby Dukes, JR McMillan, Andy Dukes, Eddie McMillan, and Bruce Bullock serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, May 23, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seminole Warpath on Cancer., 200 W. 10th St. Donalsonville, GA 39845.

Mrs. Parker was born in Donalsonville, GA on November 22, 1946, to Robert and Essie Mae Cunningham Deese. She received her Pharmacy Technician certification and worked for many years at Seminole Hartzog Pharmacy before her retirement. Mrs. Parker loved fishing, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed watching the birds in her yard, but especially the hummingbirds. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her world.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Greg McMillan and his wife Teresa of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Sheila Bryan and her husband Doug of Bascom, FL; her grandchildren, Douglas McMillan and his wife Kayla, Ashley McMillan and his wife Brooke, Justin Bryan and his wife Shelby, Megan Gac and her husband Jon, and Sara Beth Bryan; as well as her great grandchildren, Hunter McMillan, Harlan McMillan, Eisley McMillan, J.R. Bryan, Nolan Bryan, Henley McMillan, Juliette Gac, Hudson Bryan, Owen McMillan, Jonathon Gac, and Maggie Bryan. Also surviving are her siblings, Jean Dukes of Donalsonville, GA, Roy Deese and wife Sharon of Dothan, AL, Roger Deese and wife Peggy of Midland City, AL, and Ricky Deese and Angie of Colquitt, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Essie Mae Cunningham Deese; her husbands, Phillip McMillan and Eddie Parker; and a sister, Pauline Deese.
