SUSAN PATRICIA AUSTIN

Susan Patricia Ward Austin, age 61, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at her residence.

No public services are being planned at this time.

Susan was born in Joliet, Illinois, on November 28, 1964, to John Lyle Ward and Dolores Marlene Tazelaar Ward. She was a homemaker and member of Salvation Healing Deliverance Church. Susan didn’t meet a stranger and loved talking to people. She loved her animals, meeting people, and taking care of the neighborhood.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Benny Austin of Bainbridge, GA; her father, John Lyle Ward of Margate, FL; her children, Ryan Howard Austin (Ronald Howard) of Donalsonville, GA, Ashley Austin Jeter (Cole) of Blakely, GA, and Tammy Bryant (Eli) of Arkansas; as well as her grandchildren, Levi Ezell, Ellaree Jeter, Caden Bryant (Karissa), and Brody Bryant. Also surviving are her siblings, Rick Ward (Cathy) of North Carolina, Linda Ward (Doug) of Deerfield, FL, and Judy Harris (Mark) of Tallahassee, FL, along with several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Marlene Tazelaar Ward.
