THOMAS STEVE AKINS, JR.

Thomas Steve Akins, Jr., age 82, of Donalsonville, GA passed away at his residence on Monday, January 29, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating.

Mr. Akins was born in Cairo, GA on April 13, 1941, to Thomas Steve Akins, Sr. and Dorothy Pearl Towns Akins.  He was a high school graduate and served his country in the US Army.  Mr. Akins worked as a truck driver, retiring from FRM Milling Company. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Akins leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, one son, a half-sister, Brenda Simpson and a half-brother, Donald Simpson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Steve Akins, Sr. and Dorothy Pearl Towns Akins; his sister, Mary Owens; his brother, Jimmy Akins; a half-brother, James Simpson, and a half-sister, Cathy Creamer..
