Timothy Ray "Timmy" Bragg, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away peacefully Monday, July 27, 2026, after a long illness.

He was born on November 23, 1957, in Aiken, South Carolina, to Maggie Robinette Bragg Howard and Ray Bragg, and was raised by his devoted stepfather, Ed Howard. Timmy graduated from Mars Hill High School in Mars Hill, North Carolina, in 1976.  He began his career with Amoco Fabrics and Fibers in Bainbridge, GA, before transferring to Wayn-Tex in Virginia, where he worked as a carpet loom mechanic until his retirement.

Known for his remarkable mechanical ability, Timmy could repair just about anything with an engine.  Whether it was a car, transmission, ATV, lawnmower, or another mechanical challenge, family, friends, and neighbors knew he was the one to call when no one else could fix it.  He was happiest spending time under his carport, in a garage, or relaxing in his swing.

Timmy had a love for his animals, especially his faithful Labrador, Nestle, and his cherished cats.  He also enjoyed vehicles of all kinds and took great pride in his orange truck, white truck, and 1968 Pontiac GTO.

Above all else, Timmy loved his family.  He was incredibly proud of his daughter, Amy, his son-in-law, Casey, and his granddaughters, Cassie, Sabrina, and Courtney.  He never missed an opportunity to tell others about them, and there was nothing he wouldn't do for the people he loved.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Casey) Cannon of Jakin; granddaughters, Cassie (Marcus) Scott of Jakin, Sabrina (Jose) Alvarez of Wiesbaden, Germany, and Courtney Cannon (Matt Mathis) of Valdosta, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Scarlet Scott; and soon-to-be great-grandson, Cannon Scott. Also surviving are his sisters, Karla (Andy) Griffin of Arlington, TN, Susie (Charlie) Wolfe of Greensboro, NC, and Revonda (Bill) Maher of Mars Hill, NC; his brother, Jerry Bragg of Donalsonville, GA; stepbrothers, Jim Howard, Daryll Bragg, and Robbie Bragg; stepsisters, Jackie and Janice; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Howard; his father, Ray Bragg; and his devoted stepfather, Ed Howard.

Timmy will be remembered for his mechanical talent, unwavering work ethic, and love of his family.

The family will hold a private celebration of life service at a later date following his cremation.
