TOMMY OLIVER ALDAY

Tommy Alday, age 67, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, May 20, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Alday will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. Eric Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with William McLendon, John Hojek, Joel Alday, John Mattson, Malory Miller, and Keith Alday serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.

Mr. Alday was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 3, 1957, to Everette “Bud” Alday and Sybil Spooner Alday. He was a 1975 graduate of Seminole County High School and worked as a storeroom clerk at Georgia Pacific -Cedar Springs until his retirement. Tommy had always been an outdoorsman sharing with his family his love for fishing, hunting, and camping. He had a love that ran deep for his family, friends, and work family, but that paled in comparison for the love he shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Donna Alday of Donalsonville, GA; his daughter, Mandy Barber and her husband Russell of Donalsonville, GA; grandchildren, Kase Barber, Kody Barber, Kolt Barber, and Conner Boyett; and his great grandchildren, Blakely Barber and Sadie Kate Barber. Also surviving are his brother, Tuddy Alday and wife Robin of Donalsonville, GA; his sister, Becky Barber and husband Roy of Donalsonville, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, W.H. and Patricia Miller of Iron City, GA; as well as his sister-in-law, Susan Shiver and husband Matthew of Blakely, GA and his brother-in-law, Donnie Ray Miller and wife Cecilia of Iron City, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Alday was preceded in death by his parents, Everette “Bud” Alday and Sybil Spooner Alday, as well as his son, Zackary Alday.
