WILLIAM DANIEL "DANNY" ALDAY

William Daniel “Danny” Alday, age 57, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Alday will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home at 4:00 PM with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow the service at Thomas Allen Alday Family Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. with Ashton Smith, Michael Moncrief, Grant Easom, Michael Trim, Ricky Alday, and Henry Williamson serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon, one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Alday was born in Donalsonville, GA on Nov. 19, 1964, to William Eugene Alday and Cenette Brogdon Alday. He was a pipefitter who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Danny was known by most as “Danny Boy”, and his favorite pastime or hobby was growing vegetables. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sheila Alday; his children, Brian Alday and Ashley, Michael Moncrief and Brittany, Michelle Moncrief Trim, and Henry Williamson and Christina; his brother, Timothy Eugene “Buck” Alday and Rhonda; and his sisters, Debbie Merritt and Edwin and Sherry Dianne Alday-Meagher. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Erin Alday, Brian Alday, Dawson Poole, Michael Trim, Michaela Trim, Maddox Moncrief, Emilly Moncrief, Addilyn Williamson, and Alex Dragovich; as well as his special friend, Harry Parks, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Alday was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene Alday and Cenette Brogdon Alday; his daughter, Amy Alday; his sister, Mandy Alday; his nieces, Serrianne McKinley and Casey Smith; his father-in-law, Tommy “Peanut” Bland and his mother-in-law, Betty Brackin.
