WILLIAM LAMAR BLACKBURN

April 12, 1941 — March 28, 2021

Mr. William Lamar Blackburn, age 79, of Bascom, FL passed away Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Blackburn will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM CST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Michael John Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery in Marianna, FL with Ronnie Welch, Eddie Riley, Jackie Ditty, Robin Blackburn, Raymond English, Steve Jordan, Ken Jordan, Craig Merrifield, and Thurman Tidwell serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 30, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Mr. Blackburn was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 12, 1941 to William Franklin Blackburn and Ada Johnson Blackburn. He worked as a mechanic with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for 38 years before his retirement. Mr. Blackburn leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Peggy Jordan Blackburn of Bascom, FL; his sons, Ricky Blackburn and wife Paula; Rusty Blackburn, and Scott Blackburn all of Bascom, FL; his siblings, Linda Blackburn, Nina Pritchard and husband Don, Larry Blackburn, and Rob Blackburn and wife Gloria all of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Trevor Blackburn, Audre Blackburn Eubanks and husband Benjamin, Seth Blackburn, Madie Blackburn, Shelby Blackburn, and Peyton Blackburn; as well as his great grandchildren, Auden Eubanks and Rhyatt Blackburn. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin (Willie) Blackburn and Ada Johnson Blackburn. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
