WILLIAM “BUBBY” YATES

William “Bubby” Dale Yates, age 40, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, in Donalsonville, GA.

A Celebration of Life Service for Bubby will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM at 7508 Paradise Drive Donalsonville, GA. The family request that you come dressed comfortably for an outdoor memorial fitting to Bubby and his love of farming and the outdoors.  Following the service, the family will visit with friends at the FDR School Lunchroom, located at 7381 Hwy 374 Donalsonville, GA.

Bubby was born in Bainbridge, GA on December 1, 1982, to Dale and Sandra Glisson Yates.  He was born a farmer, it was everything to him. Bubby was a big man with an even bigger heart.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially riding the gator and talking farming.  He was one of those people that you could truly say disliked no one and no one disliked him.  Bubby was a “young man but an old soul”.  He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Sandra Glisson and Dale Yates; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Nira Jean Glisson; his fiancée, Wayna Williams; his daughters, Anslee Brogdon (Jessie) and Kennedy Williams; his sisters, Sherry Delk (Scooter Price) and Shelly Smith (John Hurley); lifelong best friend/brother, Ryan Posey (Amber);  brother at heart, Ricky Alday (Gina); and aunts, Delores King and Chris Fulcher.  Also surviving are his nephews and nieces, Haylee Givens (Clay), Myra Hornsby (Brantley), Kalon Delk, Ashton Smith, and Kendall Smith; as well as his great nephew, Will Givens and great niece, Ava Givens.

Bubby was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lottie Alday Yates and Sylvester Yates and nephew, Christian Yates Walker.
