AUBREY BENNY "Chilly" ALDAY, JR.

November 9, 1938 — February 23, 2020

Aubrey Benny "Chilly" Alday, Jr., age 81, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 22, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Alday will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Hatchett and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Tuddy Alday, Kenny King, Danny Johnson, Tony Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, Brandon Helms, Joel Alday, and Larry King, Jr. serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Alday was born in Seminole County on Nov. 9, 1938 to Aubrey and Inez Runnels Alday. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill after working 34 years as a mechanic. Mr. Alday enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as sports and farming. He always looked forward to being a part of a fish fry after catching all those fish. Mr. Alday was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Barbara Alday; his children, Keith Brian Alday and Curtis Alday and wife Sharon all of Donalsonville, GA and Sharon Alday Key of Destin, FL; his sisters, Carolyn Alday Johnson, Relda Alday King and husband Larry, Peggy Alday Clark, and Sue Alday White and husband Dewey; as well as his grandchildren, Tiffany Alday and Christine Alday. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Cailey, Allie, and Kolten. Mr. Alday was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Inez Alday.
